Can I tile over existing tiles?
Yes, but it is not recommended. The existing
tiles need to be firmly fixed and also the
combined weight of the existing and new
tiles needs to be taken into consideration.
Can I tile over wooden floors?
Yes, though a suitable flexible adhesive must be
used. Also it may be necessary to overlay
the existing floor with a plywood cover
sheet to ensure a more secure and consistent tileable surface.
Can I use wall tiles on my floor?
No. Wall tiles are generally ceramic based
and are not made to withstand the stresses
brought upon by generally foot traffic.
However, floor tiles may be used on the wall
and as people are more frequently wanting
same coloured tone on floor and wall this is
becoming more and more popular.
Do I need to seal my tiles?
Generally all natural stone tiles must be
sealed with an appropriate sealer and must
be maintained throughout the life span of
the tile. Sealant is recommended to be
applied every 18 months. None of our
porcelain tiles require sealing.
Can you recommend a tradesman to
do my job?
Yes. We have a number of carefully selected
tradesmen, hand picked by us to ensure
high standards and quality workmanship.
Can you provide an alternative to tiles?
Yes. We sell a wide range of wooden flooring
from laminates to semi solid and solid woods.
